“Geology Without Borders” envisions an exchange of knowledge between researchers, to promote and strengthen Earth Sciences. This was the motto of the 90th Conference of the Italian Geological Society, from 14-16 September, 2021.
Earth Sciences is not only necessary for a better understanding of the interior of the planet Earth, but also as a defense of society from dangerous geological events, for the understanding of climatic variations, for the planning and use of georesources in a ethical and respecting and protecting the environment.
The conference program is largely aimed at these issues and comprises plenary sessions, oral and poster sessions, pre- and post-conference workshops, and short courses that celebrate earth sciences.

ECFAS participated in the conference with a poster from Paula Souto Ceccon, Consorzio Futuro in Ricerca, entitled, “Performance of remote sensing algorithms for shoreline mapping under different beach morphodynamic conditions.”
