The Copernicus Hackathon – Bari 2022 saw another edition of this exciting innovation experience. The event brought together creative thinkers and innovators to create innovative mobile applications based on Copernicus data and services. Developers, designers of web interfaces and mobile apps, but also young innovators, undergraduates and graduates and passionate about data analysis, came together for this 3-day, full immersion event.
The challenge for the 2022 edition of the hackathon was, “Effects of Climate Change on coastal areas”. The challenge was broken down into the following topics:
– Smart cities,
– Real estate and Insurance companies,
– Maintenance and monitoring of infrastructures.
ECFAS was delighted to contribute its coastal dataset to helping participants answer this challenge. Two members of our team, Dr. Jaime Almonacid-Caballer and Ausiàs Roch Talens, University of Valencia, were also present during the event to coach and motivate the participants.
