In 2000, the Spanish Society of Geomorphology, supported by the Faculty of Marine Sciences of the University of Cádiz, convened the first Conference on Coastal Geomorphology. Since then, and on a biennial basis, the scientific community specialized in Coastal Geomorphology of Spain meets in order to promote collaboration and effectively share the progress of their research and experiences.
In 2022, after the forced delay caused by the pandemic, the Conference on Coastal Geomorphology returned with Galicia as the background setting. Between July 27 and 29, a varied programme with presentations and field excursions was planned.
ECFAS contributed to the conference with a presentation by Jesús Palomar Vázquez, Universitet Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), Spain, entitled: “Shoreline Analysis and Extraction Tool (SAET), una nueva herramienta para la monitorizar los cambios en la línea de costa.”
