ECFAS’ Dr. Andrea Taramelli visited Panama recently to participate in the Copernicus Emergency Management Service’s special Workshop on Vulnerability Analysis in Panama and the Caribbean. This meeting was part of the Framework Partnership Agreement For Copernicus Users Uptake (FPCUP). The title of the workshop was, “Workshop on Risk Management, Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid.“
The workshop hosted over 40 participants on site and more joining remotely, from Panama and the wider Caribbean region. Among the participants were representatives from industry, the scientific community, policy makers and members of FPCUP.
Dr. Taramelli made a presentation entitled, “Users’ needs, requirements and expectations of space economy – Evolution PoC for Emergency Copernicus Services: A Coastal Flood Awareness System,” which featured the ECFAS project and its insight on user needs. You can see the presentation below.
