ECFAS Returns to UNECE Expert Group Meeting

Workshops of the Group of Experts on Assessment of Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation for Inland Transport provide opportunities for consultation with transport professionals on whether and what kind of guidance they require for integrating climate change adaptation considerations in planning and operational processes.

The 23rd session of the Group of Experts Meeting took place from 31 October to 1 November, 2022, at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland. ECFAS’ Prof. Adonis Velegrakis, University of the Aegean, Greece, took part in the meeting and presented ECFAS to the delegates in a presentation entitled: ” A Proof-of-Concept for the implementation of a European Copernicus Coastal Flood Awareness System”, on behalf of the project consortium. This intervention contributed to UNECE’s Initiatives in climate change impact assessment and adaptation for inland transport.
