The Conference entitled “Monitoring of aquatic surfaces by remote sensing: opportunities for adaptation to climate change” was held, on 15th December, 2022, organized by the CGAT group at the Geodetic, Cartographic and Topographic ETSI of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The meeting had a hybrid format, with the possibility for people to join online.
During the event, the possibilities of exploiting the series of satellite images for monitoring coastal spaces, both marine beaches and lagoon coasts, were presented.
The conference, which brought together dozens of attendees both in person and remotely, included presentations by Roberto Díaz (General Directorate of Coasts and the Sea), Francisco Javier Gracia (University of Cádiz), Carmen Castañeda (EEAD-CSIC Zaragoza) , Carlos Cabezas (Université de Bordeaux), Jesús Palomar and Josep E. Pardo (CGAT-UPV), who were joined by Luis Ángel Ruiz (President of the Spanish Remote Sensing Association) at the round table that ended the meeting.
The presentations and the roundtable session are available here.
