Space For Our Planet Exhibition – What’s next?

Since 2021, ECFAS has been enjoying a very fruitful collaboration with the Space For Our Planet travelling exhibition. During the past two years, the exhibition has visited Paris, Brussels, New York, Dubai, Toulouse, Bonn, and Trento, and the journey is far from over.

Space For Our Planet exhibition was inaugurated at the Esplanade of the European Parliament on 28 September, 2021. Space For Our Planet examines the key role of space technologies in the transition towards a sustainable planet while also showing how younger generations are empowered and involved in this transition. The exhibition encompasses the portraits of 17 ‘actors of change’ throughout the world: each portrait encapsulates one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and demonstrates how space technologies can be used as a solution to all the topics covered by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

ECFAS is featured in Panel 13 – Climate ActionECFAS‘s Dr. Emmanouela Ieronymidi, Planetek Hellas, Athens, Greece, describes how ECFAS could contribute to mitigating climate change impacts. Emmanouela is one of 25 selected “witnesses” from around the world, from fishermen to climate experts, from astronauts to students, who explain how space technologies and applications are making a difference in achieving the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Space For Our Planet will continue to travel the world during 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news.
