ECFAS Partner, Universitet Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), Spain, was part of the UN4DRR Technical Training Programms for 2022 providing training in Geoinformation Tools for Coastal Risk Management for Asian Partner Universities in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldivas.
The course took place from 9-14 May 2022, and covered themes such as coastal risk monitoring, mapping and analysis. It included methods for 3D characterization of beaches, coastal flood monitoring with Google Earth Engine, as well as the most recent developments from ECFAS, namely the Shoreline Extraction and Analysis Tool (SAET).
