Consorzio Futuro in Ricerca (CFR), Italy

CFR is a private, non-profit, research institution founded by a number of local organizations in the Ferrara area (Province, City Council, Hospitals, SME and the Foundation of the University of Ferrara) to develop and manage research projects on several themes, including the environment and training. CFR has managed over 2400 research contracts.

Role

CFR leads WP5, undertaking all flood modelling, contributing to the coastal vulnerability analysis, to the validation of shoreline dynamics, and flood impact analyses. CFR provides input to WP4 by using an advanced forecast model with coupled wind, wave, tide and surge components for comparison with CMEMS products. Contributions are also foreseen in WP6 and WP7.
